After the donation, Fr. Davis Chiramel has been living his life to the fullest by devoting himself to the Kidney Federation of India. I was wondering when I came to know that he even tried skydiving, one of the most adventurous and exciting sports activities. And thus, he proved that after organ donation, there is not a single thing that limits you from the things you love. I always tell his inspirational tale to my patients and donors who came up with a generous mind, to make them stronger and make them realize that they have a beautiful life waiting ahead.

I have known Fr. Davis for many years. He is a well-known priest who donated a kidney to a patient, who was a stranger, who needed it and had no donor. After this donation he has dedicated his life to help patients with organ failure by promoting organ donation after death. His activity in Kuwait has led to over two thousand Indian residents to register and obtain donor cards. Indian community is the largest expat community in Kuwait and they constitute the largest organ donor pool in Kuwait. Fr. Davis’s contribution has been well recognized in promoting organ donation. Presently Fr. Davis has started a new campaign called Green Life to promote deceased organ donation. Both he and us are hopeful that this campaign will be very successful in registering thousands of donors.
